ECO (Epichlorohydrin Rubber) provides an excellent balance of heat, cold, ozone, and fuel resistance for a broad range of applications including automotive fuel hoses, oil hoses, and vibration mounts. ECO is also used for laser printer rolls because of its semi-conductive characteristics.
Zeon can supply ECO that uses epichlorohydrin monomers made from biomass-derived raw materials, as a sustainable product.
Characteristics
- Fuel Resistance
- ECO is resistant not only to gasoline but also to diesel and bio-diesel fuel.
- Gas Permeation Resistance
- ECO is highly resistant to air permeation and also exhibits exceptional gas permeation resistance to other inorganic gases.
- Semi-Conductivity
- ECO has a polyether backbone in its main chain, and since the polymer itself is semi-conductive, it exhibits highly uniform conductivity.
- Sustainable Product
- Some of our ECO products use epichlorohydrin monomers made from raw materials derived from biomass, such as palm oil.
