Zeon uses its proprietary polymerization technologies for emulsion polymerization SBR (E-SBR) and solution-polymerization SBR (S-SBR) to manufacture and sell products that excel in abrasion resistance and durability and that are widely used in automotive tires.
We also manufacture high-cis BR and low-cis BR, which offer superior abrasion resistance and rebound resilience at low-temperatures and are also widely used in tires.
Zeon can supply ISCC PLUS-certified SBR and BR as sustainable products through the mass balance approach.
Characteristics
- Abrasion Resistance
- Both SBR and BR offer excellent abrasion resistance and are widely used in the treads and sidewalls of automotive tires.
- Rebound Resilience
- Both SBR and BR exhibit superior rebound resilience. In particular, BR retains its high resilience properties at low temperatures.
- Sustainable Product (ISCC PLUS-Certified)
- Zeon can supply ISCC PLUS-certified SBR and BR through the mass balance approach by procuring sustainable C4 fractions made from bio-naphtha to manufacture the synthetic rubber.
